Paul Michael Nordmeyer
Aug 1978-June 2007
Paul was one of my first cousins on my dad's side.
He lived in Arkansas.
He's pictured here with his little boy Michael.
We, as a family, had lost contact for many years after my Uncle Don past away in 91'.
It wasn't until my cousin Penny (thank you) got in touch and opened all of our eyes to the fact that it was just stupid not to be in touch.
So, last October we made the road trip down to Arkansas to see my family. I don't remember the last time I had seen them. It was that long, crazy huh? I was pretty young, maybe 7-9 years old....not sure.
I remember one time when we were little at Grandma and Grandpa's when he and my Aunt Carol and Uncle Don came to visit. We were inseperable partners in crime. I remember even picking up on his southern accent. I thought it was so neat that they talked with a twang.
I will miss him. I wil miss the years that we lost. I will miss not getting to know the man he became.
I will, however, cherish the time we did spend together last fall. The pictures we took, the stories that we shared. I am so glad we made the trip and got to see each other.

Sorry Aimee. I'm thinking of you.

He looks young. That's too bad to have a life so short.

thanks guys.
I am still in shock that he is gone, just gone....
my parents are leaving tonight in hopes to make it to Iowa City for the night before they leave for Arkansas in the a.m. It's about a 14 hour drive. Flights would run 1200/person with a layover in Atlanta plus rental car/hotel...it's crazy.
